Future engineering work

Engineering work is taking place overnight at various locations on the Northern network, closing some lines.

Monday to Thursday

The 21:15 Wigan Wallgate to Stalybridge service will terminate at Manchester Victoria.  A bus will be provided from Manchester Victoria to Stalybridge.

The 22:24 Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street service will be bus replaced throughout.  Two buses will be provided:  one bus will run from Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street calling at Warrington Central only; a second bus will run from Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street calling at all intermediate stations normally served by the train.

The 22:34 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service depart at 22:45 and will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, not calling at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Horwich Parkway, Chorley and Buckshaw Parkway.  A bus will be provided between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston.

The 23:09 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will not run.  A bus will be provided between Manchester Piccadilly and Blackpool North.  Alternative services are available between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly.

The 23:19 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, and will not call at Buckshaw Parkway, Chorley, Adlington, Blackrod, Horwich Parkway, Lostock, Bolton and Salford Crescent.  A bus will be provided between Preston and Manchester Piccadilly.

The 23:27 Sheffield to Manchester Piccadilly service will be bus replaced throughout.

The 23:28 Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street service will be bus replaced throughout.  Two buses will be provided:  one bus will run from Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street calling at Warrington Central only; a second bus will run from Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street calling at all intermediate stations normally served by the train.

The 23:38 Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Piccadilly service will be bus replaced throughout.  Two buses will be provided:  one bus will run from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Piccadilly calling at Warrington Central only; a second bus will run from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Piccadilly calling at all intermediate stations normally served by the train.

Tuesday to Friday

The 04:44 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, and will not call at Buckshaw Parkway, Chorley, Horwich Parkway, Lostock, Bolton and Salford Crescent.  A bus will be provided between Preston and Manchester Piccadilly.

The 04:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, and will not call at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Horwich Parkway, Chorley and Buckshaw Parkway.  A bus will be provided between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston.

The 05:05 Preston to Colne service will start from Blackburn.  A bus will be provided from Preston to Blackburn, departing Preston at 04:45 to connect with the train at Blackburn.

The 06:30 Stalybridge to Wigan North Western service will start from Manchester Victoria.  A bus will be provided from Stalybridge to Manchester Victoria.
