Future engineering work

Engineering work is taking place between Swindon / Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa from 23:15 until 05:15 each morning (ending Friday morning), closing some lines.

As a result the following amendments will apply:

Monday to Thursday:

• The 23:42 Swindon to Cheltenham Spa will divert between Swindon and Gloucester via Bristol Parkway (not calling). It will not call at Kemble, Stroud and Stonehouse. A rail replacement bus will operate between Swindon and Cheltenham calling at these stations.

Thursday only:

• The 21:28 London Paddington to Cheltenham Spa service will terminate at Gloucester. A rail replacement bus will operate between Cheltenham Spa and Gloucester.
• The 23:42 Swindon to Cheltenham Spa service (mentioned above) will terminate at Gloucester on Thursday only. A rail replacement bus service will operate between Cheltenham Spa and Gloucester.

Friday only:

• The 04:37 Gloucester to Worcester Shrub Hill service will not run and will be replaced by a bus throughout.
• The 04:56 Cheltenham Spa to London Paddington service will start from Gloucester. An earlier rail replacement bus service will operate between Cheltenham Spa and Gloucester.
• The 05:20 Worcester Shrub Hill to Bristol Temple Meads service will start from Cheltenham Spa. An earlier rail replacement bus service will operate between Worcester Shrub Hill and Ashchurch for Tewkesbury / Cheltenham Spa to connect with the train.
