Description

Engineering work is taking place between Blackrod and Preston, between Salford Crescent and Blackrod, and also between Preston and Blackburn, closing various lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

The 22:34 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be amended to start at 22:45, and will be diverted, not calling at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Horwich Parkway, Chorley or Buckshaw Parkway. A replacement bus will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Preston.

The 23:09 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will not run. A replacement bus will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Blackpool North. You can use alternative train services between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly.

The 23:19 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will be diverted, and will not call at Buckshaw Parkway, Chorley, Adlington, Blackrod, Horwich Parkway, Lostock, Bolton or Salford Crescent.  A replacement bus will run between Preston and Manchester Piccadilly.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 04:44 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will be diverted, and will not call at Buckshaw Parkway, Chorley, Horwich Parkway, Lostock, Bolton or Salford Crescent. A replacement bus will run from Preston to Manchester Piccadilly.

The 04:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted, and will not call at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Horwich Parkway, Chorley or Buckshaw Parkway. A replacement bus will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston.

The 05:05 Preston to Colne service will start from Blackburn. A replacement bus will run earlier than usual from Preston to Colne, connecting with the train.
