Description

Engineering work is taking place between Newcastle and Edinburgh, closing some lines.

CrossCountry:

Buses will replace trains between Newcastle and Edinburgh.

LNER:

Trains will operate to an hourly service to / from Scotland via a diversionary route between Newcastle and Edinburgh with journey times extended up to two hours.

Other services between the North and London will start / terminate at Newcastle.

Rail replacement coach services will be provided between Newcastle, Morpeth, Alnmouth, Berwick, Dunbar and Edinburgh.

Northern:

Buses will replace trains between Morpeth and Chathill. 

It is not yet known how these works will affect Lumo, this page will be updated as more information is made available.

TransPennine Express:

No services will operate between Newcastle and Edinburgh.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Newcastle and Edinburgh in both directions.
